What is my secret to a Super Healthy Veggie Turkey Burger? Dehydrated Veggies

Dehydrating your own fruits, veggies, and herbs is really easy once you get the hang of it. You will find that most of the dehydrated ingredients in this recipe are optional, but they are also what makes this a fantastic burger.

If you don’t have a dehydrator or have these ingredients on hand, you can purchase most of them from a health food store or on Amazon. I will provide you links to some of my favorite brands below.

This veggie burger is packed full of vitamins and minerals. Some of my favorite go-to ingredients are included in this recipe including powdered mushrooms, tomatoes, kale, and moringa. To make this gluten-free, I switched out bread crumbs for powdered sweet potatoes. Extra nutrition and fiber. You really can’t lose with this recipe.

Where to find ingredients

If you do not make your own dehydrated food, here is a list of some of my favorite powders that will work well in this recipe:

Tomato Powder Powdered Kale Powdered Moringa Powdered Mushrooms Powdered Sweet Potato – I made mine from white sweet potatoes but any kind will work.

Other ingredients: Herbs & spices can be found at any supermarket. You will notice I did not add salt to the recipe. I don’t tend to use a lot of salt in my recipes. I find that the powders and veggies add enough flavor. If you like salt, go ahead and add 1/2- 1tsp salt to the recipe.
