Peppy Peppermint Syrup

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tsp Peppermint Extract


  • Place sugar and water in a small saucepan. Simmer over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved, stiring often.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Slowly and carefully mix in the peppermint extract. Stir well.
  • Let the syrup cool and place in clean bottle for storage in the refrigerator.


Old soy sauce bottles make great containers to store your syrups in. Wash and sterilize the bottles and re-label. This basic simple syrup recipe can be altered to make vanilla, almond or caramel flavors. Just use your imagination and there is no limit on what you can accomplish.
